What’s in it for you?

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical lead with practical experience utilizing Epic Bridges to transmit Epic data in HL7 format in real time.
  • Work in an environment integrating Redox as an interface engine to convert HL7 data into REST APIs (e.g., JSON) for consumption by Databricks.
  • Lead the full lifecycle (design to deployment) of data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and integrate Epic data to support chatbot and conversational AI use cases.
  • Interface with Epic systems using APIs such as FHIR, HL7, Chronicles, Bridges, and Clarity/Caboodle to extract clinical data.
  • Architect scalable solutions on Azure using services like ADF, ADLS Gen2, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and Databricks.
  • Collaborate closely with product and NLP/AI teams to make data accessible for conversational models.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Epic data models (Clarity, Caboodle) and experience extracting data using Epic APIs.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding and hands-on experience with Azure data services: ADF, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and building scalable data infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of FHIR/HL7 standards and healthcare interoperability.
  • Prior experience contributing to chatbot or AI/ML projects is highly desirable.
  • Ensure data compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations, prioritizing privacy and security.
  • Establish and maintain data governance best practices including data quality, lineage, metadata, and observability.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
