Procurement Specialist

Kenosha, WI | Onsite | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | $25-$35/Hour

Are you an experienced Procurement Specialist with a technical manufacturing background? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support purchasing, supplier management, and sourcing initiatives for a leading industrial manufacturing organization. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in electrical, electronic, or mechanical components procurement.

Job Duties
  • Source materials, components, and equipment while securing competitive pricing and lead times.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, product specifications, quality information, and delivery schedules.
  • Research and identify alternate products when preferred materials or components are unavailable.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
  • Review product specifications, technical documentation, and blueprints to support purchasing decisions.
  • Analyze supplier performance, pricing, and procurement data using advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Support vendor relationships and ensure purchasing requirements are met on time and within budget.
Qualifications
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or materials management.
  • Strong understanding of electrical/electronic components and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience working with suppliers, vendor management, and procurement processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
