Overview

Maintenance Supervisor, Nights at Ocean Spray Cranberries.

• Direct, coordinate and facilitate the daily activities of a team of skilled employees to ensure the completion of maintenance—both preventative and corrective—safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
• Maintain standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance; ensure fixed assets are preserved; initiate recommendations on purchases of new equipment and production assets.
• Assist in developing the maintenance budget, monitor plant spending, and report on operating costs within functional areas. Alert management to cost and labor overruns and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with plant functional managers to foster a positive employee relations environment. Advise management on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, and grievances; ensure direct reports adhere to policy and practices are fair and equitable.
• Work with Human Resources to hire, train, develop, and appraise staff; take corrective action as necessary in a timely manner and in accordance with policy.
• Work with Environmental Health & Safety to ensure regulatory compliance activities are met.
• Encourage staff to report food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate immediate corrective actions.
