We’re Looking For
Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for operating a power industrial truck to transport material within the facility. The role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and computers.
This is a 2nd Shift position: M‑F 3:45 pm‑12:15 am. Pay: $20.00 per hour, plus $1.00 shift differential.
- Performs quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments.
- Moves, stacks, and stages product and materials using a forklift or other power equipment.
- Performs outbound staging and packing in accordance with site policies.
- Executes ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments.
- Learns to use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System.
- Maintains inventory accuracy.
- Handles and controls hazardous material on both inbound and outbound.
- Complies with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations.
- Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations.
- Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand.
- Certification on powered industrial trucks: sit‑down, dock stocker, and powered pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
- Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Performs activities to evaluate and maintain equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Experience with RF equipment for transporting, receiving and loading functions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting or similar environment.
- Full knowledge of all functions within own area.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Certification in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit‑down, stand‑up, pallet jacks) is a plus.
