QPS Employment Group is hiring a TIG Welder for a company in Kenosha, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.

• Pass certification test on proper set-up and operation of all welding equipment
• Correctly punch in and out on all job assignments
• Utilize hand TIG welder to consistently produce quality seam and tack welds
• Work from ordinary blueprints, layouts, sketches, templates, and/or instructions; operate hand TIG welder to produce high quality lightweight to heavyweight weld assemblies
• Set tools, gauges, and stops and align work for close tolerance
• Check work using simple scales, calipers, and/or other measuring tools to maintain quality
• Assist in maintaining tools, fixtures, jigs, and equipment in a cost-effective manner
• Assist in down- or upstream operations to maintain a consistent workflow throughout the process of each job
• Accurately complete move ticket transactions and scrap tickets; stock and move loaded pallets to designated areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Follow safety rules, safe operating procedures and practices; help ensure all employees follow safety rules, procedures, and practices
• Maintain good housekeeping conditions in work areas
• Active participation in ongoing individual training/development program(s)
• Engage in training of employees and cross-training, perform backup functions to other department members as instructed
• Set goals and objectives with Supervisor; look for ways to improve quality and productivity
• Report abnormalities in machines, programs, materials, quality, and/or processes
