Tool and Die Maker

Basic Function:

• Responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects
  , ensuring components meet specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in Pre-Build meetings to plan efficient manufacturing processes
• Assemble tooling and verify machined components meet specifications
• Machine components using standard processes to required tolerances
• Manage assigned tooling projects to meet customer quality and delivery expectations

Principle Duties:

• Assemble components into completed tooling
• Set up and operate tools to manufacture components
• Train and mentor apprentices

Education & Experience:

• Skills:
  
  Advanced math, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings, strong communication
• Education/Training:
  High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a state-indentured Tool & Die apprenticeship OR 6 years as a non-indentured Tool & Die Maker
• Experience:
  
  3-5 years building progressive tooling (metal stamping preferred)
• Certification:
  Journeyman Card in Tool & Die
