Schedule: 2 weekend nights per week (Friday 7pm–7:30am, Sunday 7pm–7:30am) with rotating holidays; off 1 weekend per calendar year |

Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour
Responsibilities- Provide coordinated, comprehensive nursing care for cardiac and neurological patients in a 12‑bed step‑down unit.
- Apply the nursing process and evidence‑based practice to deliver safe, therapeutic care within established policies and procedures.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage high‑acuity patients.
- Educate patients and families on heart failure, stroke risk factors, and post‑procedure recovery, ensuring clear, compassionate communication.
- Maintain a patient‑to‑RN ratio of 4:1, supported by nursing assistants at 6:1, and manage daily census of 11–12 patients.
- Encourage and model teamwork, organization, and proactive patient safety initiatives.
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications issued by the American Heart Association within six months of hire.
- Prior experience in ICU or advanced cardiac/neuro settings a plus, but not required.
- Strong teamwork mindset, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

The 12‑bed Cardiac/Neuro Progressive Care Unit specializes in caring for cardiac and neurological patients, including pre‑ and post‑procedure cardiac cases and acute stroke patients. As the hospital’s step‑down unit, it manages higher‑acuity medical‑surgical patients transitioning to or from ICU‑level care, typically maintaining a daily census of 11–12 with an average length of stay of two days.
