Position Status:
Full-time, Benefits Eligible:
Yes, Hours per Week: 40
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 10‑hour shifts with rotating day off; may work 8 hours to cover PTO. Start times: 0600 or 0700. No call, weekends, or holidays.
Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30
Major Responsibilities- Engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence‑based practices.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
- Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to influence care outcomes.
- Uphold and promote a culture of safety and continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, conflict resolution, foster team collaboration, and delegate appropriately.
- Pursue professional development, complete required education, and maintain certifications.
- Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, practice ethical decision‑making, respect interdisciplinary roles, and contribute to integrated, unbiased patient care.
- Delegate appropriately to other RN, LPN, and unlicensed assistive personnel (e.g., nurse aides, credentialed medical assistants).
- Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
- Float to other units, departments, or facilities within the service area to meet patient care needs if required.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills for age‑appropriate care across the lifespan and interpret patient data relative to age‑specific needs.
Job Requirements
- Graduated from a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
- Licensed as an active registered nurse (RN) under multi‑state compact or single‑state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) of service.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking, time management, prioritization, problem‑solving, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., email, electronic records, digital platforms).
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, twist throughout the workday.
- Lift and support up to 35 pounds; push/pull with 30 lbs of force; perform sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
- Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures.
- Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Ability to perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de‑escalation if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste and blood/body fluids; protective clothing and equipment required.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient/unit conditions; physical abilities testing may be required.
