Join EXALTA Group and help ensure the quality of high-precision components used in the medical device industry. We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician who is passionate about inspection, accuracy, and maintaining the highest quality standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do- Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with print specifications and quality requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
- Perform dimensional, visual, functional, assembly, welding, and laser mark inspections
- Conduct and document first-piece inspections
- Use precision measuring equipment, optical comparators, vision systems, and CMM equipment to verify product quality
- Review inspection results and communicate quality concerns to Production, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams
- Place nonconforming material on hold and complete required NCR documentation
- Support investigations, corrective and preventative actions
- Maintain inspection equipment and verify calibration status
- Enter inspection data into ERP systems, spreadsheets, and quality databases
- Ensure all records and documentation comply with ISO 13485, FDA, and company quality requirements
- Meet established quality, accuracy, and productivity goals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Experience in an ISO 13485 and/or FDA-regulated environment preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Solid understanding and application of GD&T
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including:
- Micrometers
Gauge Pins - Calipers
Radius Gauges - Height Gauges
Optical Comparators - Thread Gauges
Vision Systems - Dial Indicators
CMM Equipment - Ability to read and interpret inspection reports and quality documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and computer-based quality systems
- Strong math, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Temperature-controlled manufacturing facility
- Exposure to machinery, coolants, lubricants, and moving mechanical parts
- Moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motion
- Strong visual acuity for detailed inspection work, including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
