Interior Designer - Flooring Sales Associate

Carpet City Flooring Center is seeking a customer-focused Interior Designer / Flooring Sales Consultant to join our Kenosha team. This role combines design consultation, retail sales, and project coordination. The ideal candidate has experience in interior design, flooring sales, home improvement, or construction, and thrives in a consultative sales environment.

This position is responsible for guiding customers through product selection, generating estimates, closing sales, and coordinating projects from consultation through installation.

Base compensation: $52,000/year

On Target Earnings: $65,/year

$65,000 - $100,000 yearly on target earnings

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Stay informed on industry trends, new product offerings, and competitor activity to provide knowledgeable recommendations and stay ahead of the curve
• Confidently guide customers through the sales process—negotiating, closing deals, and ensuring profitability while delivering top-tier service
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients to drive repeat business and long-term customer loyalty
• Actively network and prospect within the community to identify new opportunities and expand the client base
• Collaborate closely with installation and service teams to ensure a smooth, successful project from sale to completion

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills—you know how to connect with people and earn their trust
• A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel locally as needed to meet with clients or attend job sites
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Comfortable using technology and familiar with CRM systems or other sales tools to manage leads and track progress
• Ideally, 3 years of sales experience—especially in a customer-facing or consultative role
