As a Store Asset Protection Detective, you will ensure a safe and secure environment for customers, team members, and vendors. You will be responsible for investigating internal and external theft, including ORC (Organized Retail Crime) activity. Implement best practices and continuous improvement in all aspects of Asset Protection and safety by focusing on proactive and preventive activities that enhance profitability.
CURRENT / PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN ASSET PROTECTION, SECURITY, MILITARY, LAW ENFORCEMENT A PLUS
Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Visually inspect building exterior/parking lot to ensure potential hazards are mitigated.
- Conduct walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
- Review cashier exception reports.
- Conduct internal theft surveillance.
- Review theft activity reports and follow up as necessary.
- Conduct shoplifting surveillance.
- Report safety hazards to Store Leadership so they can be addressed.
- Test and inspect camera equipment for effective operation.
- Review alarm system printer for suspicious activity.
- Participate in apprehension of those in violation of the law and assist in prosecution of external theft cases.
- Engage in extensive documentation and report writing (ensure required documentation is complete and incident history is appropriately written to include pertinent facts that may be required for litigation).
- Testify in criminal court and/or civil court proceedings.
- Adhere to all safety practices, principles, guidelines and policies.
- Practice 200% safety accountability.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.
