Dimensions Living Kenosha is looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep our skilled nursing facility safe, functional, and in tip‑top shape. Full‑time hours available – Mon‑Fri 7am‑2pm or 8am‑3pm (3 days Kenosha, 2 days Cudahy).
What You’ll Do (AKA Your Superpowers)- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the community – including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general upkeep.
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks to ensure everything is working safely and efficiently.
- Ensure walkways, common areas, and mechanical rooms are safe, clean, and compliant.
- Respond quickly to emergency maintenance issues such as power outages, leaks, or malfunctioning equipment.
- Work with vendors and contractors when outside assistance is required.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, nursing, and leadership teams to prioritize work orders and resolve issues efficiently.
- Treat residents with kindness and respect – explaining repairs when needed and ensuring minimal disruption.
- Support special projects and seasonal tasks, such as snow removal or event setup.
- Prior maintenance experience required; senior living or healthcare environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
- Ability to diagnose problems, think critically, and work independently.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, reach, and lift heavy items throughout a full shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- HVAC, electrical, or other trade certifications a plus.
- Willingness to complete any required safety or compliance training upon hire.
