** MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
** A Maintenance Technician is one of the most important jobs in maintaining our hotel in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for our guests. Stella is looking for experienced maintenance technicians who are committed to providing first class maintenance and cleaning services as part of a collaborative team.
** As a Maintenance Technician, you will assist with:
*** Retains relationships with peers and all other departments within the company
* Maintains relationships and assists with guests, suppliers, vendors, and others serving the Company.
* Satisfies service requests throughout the hotel per work orders, following company procedures.
* Unit preparation to include painting, cleaning, repairing and/or replacing appliances, plumbing and/or electrical fixtures, etc.
* Preventive maintenance by regularly inspecting grounds, property, plumbing, electrical fixtures and appliances for repair, wear, and damage.
* Emergency maintenance when needed.
* Clean and supply designated areas.
* Any other duties assigned by Chief Engineer or General Manager.
* Picks up trash on property by assisting housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness and safety of the property.
* Reports all needed repairs to Chief Engineer or General Manager.
* Assists with other types of maintenance when necessary and assigned by Chief Engineer or General Manager.
* Maintains confidentiality of co-workers, management, owners, past and current guests, vendors and all outside contacts.
* Attends all instructional classes conducted by management.
* Previous maintenance experience required.
* Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience in servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing a variety of items such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, and standard appliances.
* Is familiar with gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants.
* Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
* Good safety habits.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
* Is on-call for emergency duty when assigned.
* Competitive pay starting at $17.00 per hour
