Prototype Fabricator

At P.O.P. Manufacturing, we build the retail displays and store fixtures you see in major stores nationwide. No two projects are the same — our shop produces one‑of‑a‑kind prototypes that bring our clients' concepts to life before going into full production. If you're a skilled woodworker who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and building things that actually end up on store shelves, this role is for you.

• Fabricate prototypes and one‑off display pieces from client drawings, samples, or concept sketches
• Construct and assemble cabinets, fixtures, and retail display structures to precise specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood and composite materials using power and hand tools
• Work with a variety of materials including hardwoods, laminates, MDF, and hardware components
• Install hardware including hinges, handles, fasteners, and specialty fittings
• Apply finishes including paint, stain, and varnish to completed pieces
• Collaborate closely with a small, tight‑knit team to meet project deadlines

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on cabinet making, woodworking, or finish carpentry experience — this is a requirement
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
• Comfort working with varied materials and adapting methods to non‑standard builds
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
• A self‑starter mindset — prototype work requires problem‑solving on the fly
• Good communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a small shop environment
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy materials
