Job Overview

We are seeking an Operations Crew Member to install, maintain, and repair billboards and related outdoor advertising structures in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The role involves working as part of an installation crew, handling construction tasks at heights up to 200 feet, and ensuring all work meets Lamar Safety Standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain billboards, including hanging flexes, vinyls, and Tri-ViVis installations.
  • Repair and maintain billboard structures—tightening bolts, painting steel, replacing light bulbs, and assembling frames as needed.
  • Conduct minor electrical and mechanical repairs, including HVAC and signal system tasks.
  • Prepare and cut materials; assemble extensions and conduct storm damage repairs.
  • Document installations through photographs and written logs.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, attend safety meetings, and use construction equipment safely.
  • Maintain operation vehicles, tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Support travel and on-call shifts as required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and with clients.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of electrical, fabrication, and construction techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints.
  • Comfort working at heights and using ladders.
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Mathematical skills applicable to construction and operations tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Completion of OSHA 10‑hour Construction Course required.
  • Preferred certifications: CDL, non‑CDL, crane, signal, rigging, or LDD.
  • Preferred experience:

    working at heights up to 200ft.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted.

  • Hourly rate: $22–$25, dependent on experience.
  • Retention/Sign‑On Bonuses: $250 after 1month, $250 after 6months, $500 after 1year.
