As a Building Maintenance Technician at JLL, you'll be the go-to expert who ensures our facilities operate seamlessly day in and day out. This hands‑on role places you at the center of building operations, where your technical skills and problem‑solving abilities directly impact client satisfaction and workplace functionality. From preventive maintenance on mechanical and plumbing systems to general interior repairs and facility inspections, you'll tackle a diverse range of responsibilities that keep our spaces safe, comfortable, and fully operational.

You'll collaborate closely with our building operations team, support client needs with professionalism and care, and contribute to an environment where attention to detail and quality craftsmanship make all the difference.

What your day‑to‑day will look like
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work orders on facility mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, and other installed equipment
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, documenting conditions that impact client occupancy and operational performance
  • Handle general interior maintenance including patching and painting, hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and maintaining doors and building envelope components
  • Replace overhead lighting elements and ballasts, and assist with building equipment repairs as directed by the maintenance operations team
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as requested to support facility operations and client needs
  • Update work order status in real time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo, ensuring accurate documentation of all work performed
  • Maintain strict compliance with safety procedures, complete all required safety trainings, and proactively identify and eliminate potential hazards
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in general building repair, maintenance, and basic plumbing
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
  • Proven problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities for maintenance tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., work from heights, and climb ladders up to 30 feet or more
  • Physical capability to perform frequent climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and overhead work.
Preferred qualifications
  • Technical certification or vocational training in building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Corrigo
  • Experience with facility inspections and reporting on building conditions
  • Knowledge of safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Familiarity with building envelope maintenance and repair techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to elevate issues appropriately and communicate effectively with facility managers
