LYONS TRUCK PARTS INC in Kenosha, WI is looking for a skilled Transmission/Differential Rebuilder to join their team. Responsibilities:- Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild manual transmissions for heavy‑duty trucks
- Rebuild and repair differentials, axles, and drivetrain components to OEM specifications
- Diagnose mechanical failures and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions
- Measure and inspect gears, bearings, shafts, and housings using precision tools
- Reassemble units ensuring proper tolerances, torque specs, and quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the rebuild shop
- Document rebuild processes and parts used for inventory and quality control purposes
- Proven hands‑on experience rebuilding heavy‑duty truck transmissions and/or differentials
- Strong knowledge of drivetrain systems including Eaton, Meritor, Spicer, and similar brands
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and dial indicators
- Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to lift heavy components and work in a physically demanding shop environment
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
