Job Summary:
The Resource Development (RD) program with Community Impact Programs is responsible for recruiting and retaining foster parents and childcare providers for the Kenosha County Division of Social Services. As the Foster Care Licensing Specialist, you will make recommendations to the Kenosha County Division of Children and Family Services regarding the licensing of foster parent applications. The Licensing Specialist also assists with foster parent recruitment and retention.
Essential Functions of the Licensing Specialist:
- Conduct comprehensive foster care licensing studies and evaluations, including written reports and assessments with recommendations regarding candidate suitability for working with foster children.
- Assist with ongoing program planning and development.
- Assist with program recruitment and retention.
- Facilitate Nurturing Connections Training for foster parents.
- Coordinate placements for foster children to match their needs to appropriate providers.
- Handle inquiries regarding foster care licensing.
- Maintain contact and provide support to foster parents.
- Exercise judgement to intervene as an advocate for foster parents in emergency and crisis situations.
Location:
Kenosha, WI. Some local travel will be required to meet with program participants and complete home evaluations.
Schedule:
Full-time 40 hours per week

Salary: $22.00 per hour
Requirements:
- Must have a completed Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
