Scamps has several programs which include Preschool Gymnastics, Boys and Girls Gymnastics, Cheer classes and Boys & Girls Tumble and Trampoline team. Scamps Gymnastics are programs supported by The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha to meet the unique interests and needs of young people throughout the Kenosha community. We are looking for a part-time Tumbling & Trampoline Coach to work 15 hours a week (5 days/week, 3 hours/day).

The Tumbling & Trampoline Coach is responsible for the development, promotion, operation, and maintenance of the Tumbling & Trampoline team and recreational program. The coach will be accountable for the enrollment and retention of the program.

Job Title:

Tumbling & Trampoline Coach

Responsibilities Include:
  • Coach 10 – 15 hours per week.
  • Promote, set up, and run the annual Tumbling & Trampoline competition.
  • Create competition rosters for each competition.
  • Routinely evaluate the program’s progressions of skills and revise them as needed.
  • Actively recruit and/or set up tryouts for the competitive Tumbling &Trampoline program.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of promotional activities and programs with the other program directors (demos, meets, promotional activities, etc.)
  • Evaluate staff members and provide them with the necessary training.
  • Manage all customer inquiries related to the program.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Personal Qualities:
    Punctual, Honest, Enthusiastic, Conscientious, Reliable, Organized, Patient

All staff must complete a background check. Safe Sport training, USA Gymnastics Safety Certification, USA Gymnastics Professional Membership, USA Gymnastics U100 Course will be required when hired.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb stairs.
  • Possess an adequate level of manual dexterity and sense of balance.
  • Possess good near and far distance acuity and three-dimensional depth perception.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.
