Forklift Operator, II 1st Shift M-F

What We're Looking For

Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for operating power industrial trucks to transport material within the facility. The role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and computers. This is a 1st shift position (Monday‑Friday 7am‑3:30pm).

• Picks and stages orders for shipping
• Load, unload, put away, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift or other power equipment
• Executes ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments
• Learns to use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders
• Maintains inventory accuracy
• Handles and controls hazardous material on both inbound and outbound shipments
• Complies with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations
• Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations
• Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand
• Has necessary certifications on powered industrial trucks (sit‑down, dock stocker, powered pallet jacks)
• Knows safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation
• Is capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods
• Can lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 pounds
• Performs activities to evaluate and maintain equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned

• At least 1 year of proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting or similar environment
• Proficiency in operating industrial forklifts and other warehouse equipment, including stand‑up reach, sit‑down order picker, and pallet jack

• High school diploma or GED
• Full knowledge of all functions within own area
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Experience with RF equipment for transporting, receiving, and loading functions
• Certification in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit‑down, stand‑up, pallet jacks)
