Freight Handler - 2nd Shift

Overview

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Freight Handler for the Distribution Center at 10901 38th St., Kenosha. Pay starts at $20.52 per hour and includes a $1 shift premium.

• Safely remove pallets of product from trailers and break down products for the correct pallet configuration
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets
• Ensure damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into warehouse for sale inventory
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets
• Support warehouse operations as part of the freight handling team

• You must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25°F to 100°F)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Successfully pass a drug test and a background check
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required
