Overview
At Zebra, we are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to perform shipping, receiving, staging, and inventory tasks, operating industrial forklifts and other equipment to support the efficient movement of merchandise within the facility.
Responsibilities- Perform quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments.
- Picks and stages orders for shipping.
- Load, unload, put away, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift or other power equipment.
- Execute ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments.
- Learn to use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Handle and control hazardous material on inbound and outbound shipments.
- Comply with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations.
- Complete all required safety training and follow protocol for risk situations.
- Use appropriate PPE.
- Maintain and evaluate equipment condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Less than 1 year of proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting.
- Operates industrial forklifts and warehouse equipment including stand‑up reach, sit‑down order picker, and pallet jack.
- Knowledge of all functions within own area.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Experience with RF equipment for transporting, receiving, and loading functions.
- Certification on powered industrial trucks (sit‑down, dock stocker, powered pallet jack).
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
Competitive hourly wage of $21.00 plus eligibility for a performance‑based annual cash incentive (target equal to 3% of base pay). Benefits include healthcare, wellness, employee assistance program, paid time off, and other standard compensations.
