Position OverviewThe Field Coordinator / Assistant Superintendent is responsible for supporting the Superintendent in managing field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on job sites. This role requires strong construction knowledge, industrial fencing experience, and the ability to identify hazards in high-risk environments such as substations (both above and below grade).
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and project oversight.
- Coordinate scheduling of crews, equipment, and materials for multiple job sites.
- Monitor job progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections to identify hazards, particularly in substations and other high-voltage environments.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Track inventory and manage delivery of fencing materials to job sites.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly and elevate concerns when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports and time tracking.
- Must be located in OH, PA, or WV.
- Minimum 5 years in construction and industrial fencing projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.
- Ability to identify hazards in substations (above and below grade).
- Familiarity with fencing installation in industrial and high-security environments.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
