Tenure Track Faculty Position Histology-Microbiology, Northeast Ohio Medical University
The Department of Biomedical Sciences seeks a full-time tenure-track faculty member with primary teaching and research responsibilities in the College of Medicine. Teaching will focus on histology and/or microbiology to medical students, with some involvement in graduate education. The position will have a 12-month salary and has, initially 70% research time with full salary support. Over time, this is decreased to 40% protected research time with full salary support.
The new faculty members will engage in a vigorous research program in biomedical sciences. Research effort will be consistent with that in NEOMED’s research focus areas, in musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, or diabetes/obesity science. Active participation in service activities of the department, college and university is expected and will be determined during annual meetings with the department chair.
This department has approximately 35 faculty members, and teaching focuses on first- and second-year medical students, with significant contributions to the College of Dentistry and the College of Graduate Studies.
