As a Surgery Scheduler you will play a key role on our Surgery Counselor Team, providing education and guidance throughout the patient's experience. You will schedule patients for surgery and ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed.
This is a temp to hire position and must be able to commute to our Kent office.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Providing instructions to patients with upcoming surgeries.
  • Prepare surgical charts.
  • Schedule post-op appointments.
  • Confirm surgery dates with the patient.
  • Check voicemail and return calls within a 24 hour timeframe.
  • Assist with other administrative duties and patient communication.
  • Understand and is competent at the EMR and Scheduling systems and assist in scheduling patients for surgery.
  • Work with Surgical Counselors to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
  • Communicate fee schedule, finance options and insurance.
Knowledge, Education And Skills
  • Prior practice management system experience or at least one year of previous patient registration experience or related role.
  • Strong knowledge with Excel, Google, MS Office, Nextech, Allscripts.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Self starter, solution focused with ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations related to the Healthcare field.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining effective relationships with administration and providers.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, detail oriented, and self motivated.
  • A keen eye for details to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to appropriately convey information both orally and in writing to patients, clinical, and non-clinical personnel.
  • Courteous and willing to provide support to patients.
What You Know
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous Ophthalmology/Optometry, healthcare, administrative or customer service work experience preferred.
