ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Position is responsible for final finishing and polishing of products.
• Read and interpret parts prints and weld symbols.
• Use hand and power tools to grind, sand, clean, or polish products to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for final delivery of product.
• Mark defects for repair.
• Compare product with part prints, schematics, quality specifications/quality plans and approved samples to ensure product quality and assembly suitability.
• Verify quality of finished products by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions, or testing them in working machinery.
• Performs all work in accordance with approved procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate and document findings and work with other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• 1+ years previous metal polishing or finishing experience preferred or 1+ years auto body experience.
• Strong attention to safety procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High degree of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Self-starter who can work independently.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crawl and climb frequently throughout the day
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Frequent use of hands and arms to sand and polish tanks and parts using hand and powered tools
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• Work is primarily conducted in a manufacturing setting. Some work is conducted outdoors and/or shop floor environment with noise, dust, operating machinery and high traffic volume.
