Shift supervisor, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to take on the role of Shift Supervisor for the 2nd shift, ensuring that production operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of hourly employees, with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, direct, and lead a shift of hourly employees in the production of corrugated board.
• Plan, assign, and oversee tasks to meet production goals.
• Conduct training sessions and evaluate employee performance.
• Encourage a positive work environment through rewarding and disciplining as necessary.
• Promote safety and quality production, while fostering teamwork and resolving conflicts.
• Lead by example with a superior attitude and performance.
• Communicate operational information clearly and effectively to all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and organizational programs.
• Perform other duties as required to support production operations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Prior experience in the corrugated industry is essential.
• At least one year of manufacturing experience is mandatory.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Skills in action orientation, customer focus, and developing direct reports.
• Demonstrated integrity and trust, managerial courage, and strong organizational skills.
• Solid business acumen and effective communication skills.
