Responsibilities
  • Independently travels nationally and internationally as Maag/Gala’s primary technical representative to the customer.
  • Interacts with customers daily to provide solutions to issues.
  • Conducts annual follow up calls to all Maag/Gala customers to check on the customer and Maag machinery.
  • Participates in customer visits to provide support for equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair activities, including logistical planning and reporting.
  • Provides training to customers at Maag/Gala’s facility and at the customer’s location.
  • Represents the company and collects customer feedback to facilitate continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Conducts technical discussions regarding machinery repairs, upgrades, and selection to assist customers with solutions.
  • Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, parts and equipment sales to develop customer‑focused solutions.
Physical Requirements
  • Must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb; stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires regular talking or hearing; uses hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach; needs clear vision that allows for close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Occasional prolonged sitting during international commercial air travel.
Job Specification
  • High School diploma or equivalent (additional technical skills a plus).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • A valid US Driver’s License is required.
  • Technical training in electrical systems (single‑phase, 3‑phase or low‑voltage).
  • Technical training in logic circuits, electric motors, gears and mechanical devices.
Professional Experience
  • Experience in a field service role.
  • Experience using measuring/test equipment including micrometers and multimeters.
  • Writing progress and expense reports.
  • Global travel experience.
  • Experience in plastics processing or rotational molding highly desirable.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday with possible weekends or holidays as needed.

Travel frequency:
Approximately 50% of the time (average 5‑day trips, international trips up to 2 weeks).
