Position Overview

Maag Reduction Inc. is currently seeking an Assembly Technician who will assemble a wide range of equipment and ensure on‑time delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, layout drawings, and electrical prints.
  • Use measuring tools such as micrometers and feeling gauges; understand tolerances.
  • Apply knowledge of pneumatic circuits, cylinders, valves, regulators and controls.
  • Install threaded and welded pipe, valves, fittings, and related hardware.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by lifting, bending and kneeling multiple times per day; lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Document labor hours and complete production and quality forms; report discrepancies with work‑order material BOMS.
  • Run conduit, mount junction boxes, pull wire to electrical devices and motors; terminate wires per electrical drawing.
  • Participate in team continuous‑improvement projects, track required metrics, and attend daily meetings.
  • Operate overhead cranes with slings, straps or other devices.
  • Perform tasks requested by management, including overtime and weekend work.
  • Adhere to safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Work mainly at Kent assembly areas; operate in a factory setting with moving mechanical parts and vibration.
Physical Requirements

Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing. Must maintain good physical shape, use forklift, and complete forklift training on site. Requires hearing and speaking for communication, and good vision for close and distance tasks.

Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Additional technical skills a plus.
Professional Experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with basic mechanics or millwright hand tool use (desirable).
  • Completion of any Mechanics or Millwright courses a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge and training on overhead crane operation a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices or background a plus but not required.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 1st shift. Possible weekends or holidays as needed.

This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics.
