The Installer will assemble, install, and repair a variety of trucking tarp systems on trailers, including flatbeds, dumps, and other trailer types. This role involves working with well-known trailer brands, wiring electronic tarps, and using a wide range of hand, power, and pneumatic tools in a busy manufacturing environment. The Installer will read measurements, identify and report defective materials or conditions, and contribute to a high-quality production process as part of a collaborative team.

• Install and repair trucking tarp systems on flatbeds, dumps, and other types of trailers.
• Work on trailers produced by major manufacturers, ensuring proper fit and function of tarp systems.
• Wire electronic tarps on the underside of trailers, following safety and quality standards.
• Use various hand, power, and pneumatic tools to complete installation and repair tasks.
• Read and interpret measurements to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
• Detect and promptly report defective materials or questionable conditions to the team lead.
• Assist in general manufacturing, labor, and production tasks related to tarp system installation.
• Support construction, assembly, and basic mechanical work as needed in the shop.
• Collaborate closely with team members, often working in partnered assignments for training and task completion.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively with tools and equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time during the shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs on occasion.
• Experience using hand, power, and pneumatic tools in a labor, manufacturing, or construction setting.
• Ability to read measurements accurately.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to partner with more experienced employees for hands-on training.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly environments.
• Experience in construction, welding, wiring, or other mechanically inclined work.
• Blueprint reading experience is a plus.
• Some welding experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and willingness to identify and report material defects or issues.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in attendance and performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, OH.

The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in Kent, OH.
