Manual Machinist / Machine Shop Lead | $24–$29 Per Hour | Great Benefits & Growth Opportunity
We’re working with a well‑established manufacturing company in the Kent, OH area that is looking to bring on a high‑level Manual Machinist or Shop Lead. This is a key hire for their team, and they are open to someone who can either step in as a strong individual contributor or take on a leadership role within the shop. This opportunity is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, can operate across multiple machines, and enjoys being hands‑on while helping guide others on the floor.

- Operating manual mills, lathes, and other shop equipment for precision machining work
- Setting up and running jobs independently with minimal supervision
- Working from blueprints and tight tolerances
- Troubleshooting machining issues and making necessary adjustments
- Supporting or leading shop personnel depending on experience level
- Strong background in manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.)
- Ability to run multiple machines and handle varied work
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Solid understanding of machining practices, tooling, and materials
- Leadership experience is a plus (or interest in stepping into a lead role)
