MAAG Reduction is hiring a CNC Grinder Machinist to produce high‑precision tooling used throughout the MAAG product line.
This is a strong opportunity for a machinist who enjoys detailed grinding work, tight tolerances, and taking ownership of a part throughout the machining process. You’ll work within a collaborative shop where quality, safety, and precision matter.
The weekend schedule is a major advantage: work three 12‑hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday while being paid for 40 hours. That gives you four days off each week without sacrificing full‑time pay.

What you’ll be doing- Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings
- Determine required dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes
- Set up and operate surface grinders, OD grinders, and other machine shop equipment
- Manufacture precision tooling for MAAG products
- Select cutting tools, grinding wheels, and materials based on part specifications and hardness
- Establish and adjust speeds, feeds, depth of cut, and other machining parameters
- Identify efficient machining methods for individual parts and machines
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections throughout the manufacturing process
- Verify completed components meet all quality and customer requirements
- Record production information and quality data in the company database
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures
This position involves operating a variety of precision machine shop equipment, with a particular focus on:
- Surface grinding
- OD grinding
- Precision tooling production
- Grinding wheel and tooling selection
- Blueprint‑based machining
- Precision measurement and inspection
- Speeds, feeds, and machining parameter adjustments
You’ll use precision measuring instruments to inspect your work and ensure components meet the required dimensions, tolerances, and finish requirements.

Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of hands‑on experience in a professional machine shop
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience operating machine shop equipment
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to quality and detail
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and solve machining problems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift

Preferred:
- Technical certification or vocational training in machining technology
- Surface grinding experience

- Experience producing close‑tolerance precision components or tooling
