Vice President, Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement

Kent State University is hiring a Vice President, Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. The role provides executive leadership for the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement, acts as Chief Executive Officer for the Kent State University Foundation, and directs strategic fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives, reporting directly to the President.

• Lead all university-wide development initiatives as Chief Philanthropy Officer.
• Develop and oversee execution of strategic fundraising campaigns and policies for philanthropic activities.
• Collaborate with University President, Foundation Board, and donors to cultivate and steward relationships.
• Manage alumni engagement strategies including volunteer programs and donor communications.
• Establish strategies for corporate philanthropy and manage university relationships with foundations.
• Serve as liaison to Board of Trustees for External Relations and Philanthropy Committee and represent DPAE on university committees.
• Bachelor's degree required with at least 10 years in advancement and 5 years managing fundraising in large organizations.
• Experience in comprehensive campaigns, volunteer leadership, financial management, and legal fundraising regulations.
• Skills needed in communication, project management, donor solicitation, and motivating staff.
• Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
