• Oversee and optimize all aspects of arborist and urban forester teams' activities.
• Responsible for team management, employee development, project coordination, safety and skills development and operational management that aligns with business expectations.
• Determine methods of cutting and removing timber with minimum waste and environmental damage.
• Assist in planning and implementing projects to control tree diseases and insect pests.
• Gather data surrounding affected project lands such as species and population of trees, disease, and insect damage.
• Assist in determining the best methods of planting, spraying, and cultivating plants.
• Gather information on plant varieties with resistance to disease, or adaptability to climates and soils.
• Assist in the development of foresters within our operations through curriculum development and mentoring.

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Forestry, Forestry & Environmental Management, Natural Resources or related plus ten (10) years of experience developing Residential Arborists and Urban Foresters.
  • Prior experience must include:
    Five (5) years of tree care and urban forestry business management;
    Developing trainings on tree identification, insect & disease diagnosis and management, soil properties, abiotic tree disorders, and pruning and hazard mitigation in trees;
    Developing trainings on creating urban forest plans;
    Reviewing and revising forest management plans;
    Performing statistical modeling and analysis of financial and forestry planning data;
    Utilizing industry safety standards and practices including, ANSI z133 and A300;
    Forest fire protection;
    Utilizing software including SAP, MS Dynamics CRM, Qlik Sense Reporting, SAP Cloud Reporting and Origami; and Mapping skills with ArcGIS, QGIS and R Maptools.
• Must be Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA) through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).
• Must be Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP) through the Tree Care Industry of America (TCIA).

Travel will be 65%-75%, domestically

Salary- $100,000-$180,000 per year
