Job Summary: A research position is available for Summer 2026 in Dr. Amirfakhri’s research group, with the possibility of renewal as a part‑time position during the Fall and Spring semesters of 2026–2027.
Position Type: Full‑time or part‑time in the summer; part‑time during academic year.
Compensation: $15/hour
Location: Science Building, UW‑Stevens Point
Responsibilities- Participate in laboratory research related to PFAS treatment and destruction technologies.
- Research on destructive methods for PFAS removal.
- Catalyst synthesis and characterization.
- PFAS removal and treatment experiments.
- Setting up and operating a continuous filtration system.
- Assisting with the assembly and operation of a tubular furnace.
- Data analysis and laboratory documentation.
- Assisting with the preparation of scientific manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.
- Opportunity to present research findings at scientific conferences during the academic year.
