Scott Paving LLC is currently searching for a full-time Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Kent, Ohio!

• 401k with 3% company contribution once eligible

• Pay: $30 – $40/hour, offer dependent on position and experience

• Monday – Friday
• Occasional Saturday, if needed

• Previous diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Current CDL
• Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record
• Self-starter attitude and the ability to work under limited supervision

• Diagnose issues and take proper steps to troubleshoot and repair
• Preform repairs such as steering systems, major and minor issues with engines, gear boxes, etc.
• Perform maintenance on vehicles such as oil changes and tire rotations
• Perform inspections to make sure everything is working properly
• Test-drive vehicles
• Follow protocols such as inspection checklists and maintaining a clean workspace
• Perform road calls when necessary and when requested by foreman
• Work with electrical and exhaust systems to be sure they comply with state regulations
