Senior Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary:

Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician supporting and overseeing repairs for Walmart facility refrigerating equipment by utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
  Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.

• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior work experience with glycol and C02 systems.

Hourly wage range $26.00 – $51.00. Eligible for bonus incentive. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
