Shop Fleet Mechanic

Position Overview

Join one of the nation's oldest and largest green industry companies. We are looking to add a shop mechanic to our Davey Shop in Kent, OH, servicing vehicles across the country.

• Install new equipment on chassis and repair existing vehicles in the fleet, including engine, brake, front‑end, chipper, aerial bucket, sprayer, and trucking equipment.
• Perform hydraulic and welding tasks; in‑house training provided.
• Maintain 1st‑shift operations (7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday‑Friday). Seasonal overtime is available.

• Experience in truck mechanical repairs, diesel engines, and hydraulics.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
