Shop Technician

We have an outstanding career opportunity for aShop Technician to join a leading Company located in the Kent, OH surrounding area.

The Shop Tech 2 will work with oversight of the shop supervisor while exercising some independence  performing  moderate to complex repair and replacement of components of industrial machinery  including  production machinery and finishing equipment  for  the commercial textile processing industry.  Shop Tech 2 will display good electrical and mechanical working knowledge and demonstrate the company's core values.

Job Responsibilities:

+  Read and interpret technical manuals to understand and assess and repair equipment and controls.  

+  Use objective troubleshooting techniques to assess equipment issues and  to  efficiently create a  plan for  repair.

+  Execute a repair plan, correcting all defective components to optimal specifications.  

+  Assist and perform full testing to ensure the cause of operational issues has been addressed and corrected.  

+  Organizes  and  maintains  workspace to ensure a clean  and  safe environment for all team members.

+  Organizes and maintains workspace as determined by Shop Supervisor.  

Basic Hiring Criteria:

+   Requires knowledge ordinarily acquired from a high school diploma and a minimum of 2-3 years  related  field experience in an industrial environment.  

+  Two -  three years of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical background.  

+  Ability to read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams  and  blueprints.  

+  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.  

+  Able to work under pressure with limited time, direction, and guidance to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.

+  Demonstrates persistence in the face of obstacles.  

+  Patient and professional demeanor.  

+  Ensure  adherence to all Company Policies and Processes.
