Truck Driver CDL A Flatbed

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Kent, OH. The role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

$1800 or more per week. Details:

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.81 per mile with 1,000‑1,500 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $18.65 per stop with 40‑50 stops per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday - Friday;
  Start Time: 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM
• Safety Bonus: $500 every quarter (four times a year)

Deliver SOLO to OH and small portions of PA and WV. Tractor type: day cab. Trailer type: 48' Conestoga equipped flatbed. Freight: touch‑heavy securement, strapping load. 3 months flatbed experience required in last 2 years.

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical, road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements, Class A experience: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5 years, or 5 years in past 10 years
• Ability to follow instructions, read & interpret laws, rules, regulations

Some positions require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check and a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
