Joiner/Carpenter (Progression to Project Manager)

In this role, the successful Joiner/Carpenter or similar will be responsible for combining hands-on joinery expertise with both project management responsibilities. You will both assist in and learn how to autonomously lead and manage joinery projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and handover, helping to prepare work scopes, estimate material quantities, and contribute to cost proposals.

Alongside this, you will also assist in the coordination of labour, subcontractors, suppliers and site resources to ensure seamless delivery, whilst monitoring project timelines and deadlines, managing multiple works in parallel where required. In addition, you will act as the primary point of contact for clients and customers throughout project delivery - providing updates and advice, managing expectations etc… On top of this, you will also be responsible for attending site visits when required, reporting project updates to senior leadership.

Finally, you will be responsible for keeping accurate technical documentation of any projects worked.

The ideal Joiner/Carpenter or similar will have a background in the joinery/construction/woodworking industry and/or a related field. In addition, you will have had previous working experience within a joiner/carpenter role, with a desire to progress into Project Management. On top of this, you will have the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, site measurements and customer requirements. Finally, you will ideally have had previous experience within project planning/coordination.

Lead and manage joinery projects

The Person :

Background in the joinery/construction/woodworking industry and/or a related field
Previous working experience within a joiner/carpenter role
