About Tudor Roof Tiles

Tudor Roof Tiles is a leading British manufacturer of premium handmade clay roof tiles. We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing to produce high-quality roofing products for heritage and prestigious construction projects across the UK and overseas.

The Role

We are looking for a reliable Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently while minimising downtime.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).

* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery.

* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns.

* Install, service and improve manufacturing equipment.

* Work closely with the production team to maximise machine performance.

* Maintain accurate maintenance records.

* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.

* Assist with continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or similar role.

* Good mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Welding or fabrication experience would be an advantage.

* A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

* Flexible approach to working hours when required.

Desirable Electrical Skills

While this is primarily a mechanical fitting role, the following electrical skills would be an advantage:

* Basic electrical fault-finding on industrial machinery.

* Understanding of motors, sensors, contractors, relays and inverters (VFDs).

* Experience with three-phase electrical systems.

* PLC fault diagnosis (basic level).

* Safe isolation procedures and understanding of electrical safety regulations.
