About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy workshop in Canterbury, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified MET Technician to join their growing team.

This role will focus on the mechanical, electrical and trim aspects of vehicle repair, working alongside a wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified MET Technician looking for competitive hourly rates, long-term stability and the opportunity to develop their career within a professional workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on a range of vehicles

* Remove and refit mechanical and electrical components

* Diagnose faults and identify additional repair requirements

* Complete strip and refit work to manufacturer and industry standards

* Work closely with body repair technicians and other workshop staff

* Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard

* Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation

* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment

* Work efficiently to meet workshop productivity and quality targets

Requirements

* IMI qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

* Proven experience as an MET Technician / MET Fitter / Vehicle Technician

* Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge

* Previous experience within a bodyshop or accident repair environment is highly desirable

* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

* Excellent attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Full UK Driving Licence
