A growing commercial construction company in Kent, WA is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant for a direct hire opportunity. This role supports the financial management of multiple construction projects and works closely with Project Managers, Operations, and accounting leadership to ensure accurate job costing, billing, reporting, and contract administration. - Monitor project budgets, costs, job cost records, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and process owner billings, including progress billings and AIA billing documentation.
- Review subcontractor invoices, pay applications, change orders, retainage, lien waivers, and project contract documentation.
- Partner with Project Managers on forecasting, cost-to-complete reporting, budget analysis, and project financial reconciliations.
- Support month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, audits, and work-in-progress reporting.
- Maintain accurate project accounting records and help ensure compliance with company policies, contract terms, and accounting standards.
- Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
