Job Overview
Pierian Services, a leading provider of comprehensive IT solutions and consulting services, is seeking a meticulous and organised Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. We specialise in helping businesses streamline their processes and leverage technology effectively, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to support our financial operations. In this Full-Time role, you will be responsible for managing the complete accounts payable cycle, ensuring that all supplier invoices are processed accurately and paid in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This position offers a competitive annual salary of $28,000 - $38,000
.
- Process a high volume of supplier invoices, ensuring they are accurately coded and authorised.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes.
- Prepare and execute payment runs via BACS and other electronic methods.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or queries promptly.
- Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation.
- Assist the finance team with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth payment processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the accounts payable function.
- Proven experience working as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar finance role.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with strong MS Excel skills.
- Exceptional accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or Quick Books.
- AAT qualification or currently studying towards a relevant accounting certificate.
- Previous experience in the IT or technology sector would be an advantage.
