We are seeking a Purchasing Agent for a 3+ month contract (with possibility of extension and/or conversion to perm) in Kent, WA to support procurement and supply chain activities for various aerospace and technology systems. This position plays a key role in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of critical materials. The position will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier performance aligns with company standards.

Duration: 3+ month contract (potential for extension or conversion)
This role offers the opportunity to drive efficiency and innovation in supply chain management while contributing to cutting-edge aerospace and engineering projects.
Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate suppliers to support the external development of aerospace systems.
- Prioritize and execute program requirements to meet business and mission needs.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs) / Requests for Quote (RFQs) and perform price analyses.
- Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal contract negotiations.
- Construct and manage various contract types, including long-term procurement agreements, sourcing partnerships, and strategic contracts
. - Oversee the procurement process from requisition to final payment and resolve any issues.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure materials are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and supplier management (or 3+ years with a Master’s degree).
- Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPIF).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
, with experience managing supplier relationships. - Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience tracking program metrics.
- Understanding of AS9100 standards and engineering data (specifications, source control drawings).
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Experience in the Aerospace or Space industry
. - Knowledge of Avionics or Fluid components procurement.
- Familiarity with ITAR/EAR regulations for import/export compliance.
- CPSM, CSCP, or PMP certification
. - Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, and Share Point .
