Position Title
Subcontract Administrator III
Position DescriptionProtingent has an exciting contract opportunity for a Subcontract Administrator with our client in Kent, WA.
Job Responsibilities- Manage cradle-to-grave procurement activities, including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, placing, and closing out purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Support New Product Integration (NPI) within SCM, ensuring new components and suppliers are successfully introduced into the supply base.
- Execute purchasing activities for hardware, components, materials, and services in support of program needs.
- Proactively follow up and track open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to mitigate risk and prevent shortages.
- Serve as an embedded member of cross‑functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), representing SCM and driving procurement strategy aligned to program objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing performance, escalations, and corrective actions as needed.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery to achieve best value while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the procurement process.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or purchasing.
- Aerospace industry experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience managing cradle-to-grave procurement.
- Proven ability to follow up, track, and drive supplier deliverables to closure.
- Experience working within cross‑functional teams (IPT environment).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Kent, WA or Florida.
- Experience supporting New Product Integration (NPI) or new product introduction within an SCM organization.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint).
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and aerospace supplier quality requirements.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with reporting/tracking tools.
- Prior experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth aerospace or manufacturing environment.

Onsite Kent, WA or Merritt Island, FL - Pay Rate: $65-$90/hr
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
