AFTER SCHOOL ENERGY YOUTH LEADERS

Hours9–10 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
Wednesday – 12:45 p.m.–3:15 p.m., 1 p.m.–3:30 p.m., 1:35–3:55 p.m. (depending on school)
Program runs September 15, 2025 – May 29, 2026
Hourly rate$18.25 per hour
These positions are open until filled.
DutiesUnder the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Youth Leaders plan, organize and lead daily activities for children grades K‑5th. After school programs consist of approximately 20–30 participants and 3 staff members. Activities include:
- group games
- competitions
- sports
- arts and crafts
Must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants are subject to a position‑relevant background check.
Preferred QualificationsOne (1) year or more of experience working with children in a recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, and other large group activities for children between 6‑12 years old; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of “Dedicated to Enriching Lives” and demonstrate the following characteristics:
