Harmon, Inc. As the Construction Estimator III, you will analyze all project documents to determine and prepare the estimated cost of a project; prepare material quantity takeoffs for the Preconstruction Services Manager to execute a competitive bid and work in a team environment with other estimators to support offices across the U.S and collaborate closely with Preconstruction Services and Project Management teams.
POSITIONDESCRIPTION
Your top priority is to ensure your project is completed safely, accurately, on time and at (or under) budget.
- Conduct estimating on a day-to-day basis
- Contribute to project results by executing estimating process with few errors
- Participate and drive takeoff efficiency through use of 3D technology
- Partner with Preconstruction Services Managers and vendors to create accurate and on time bids

Skills:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, advanced knowledge in reading blueprints and understanding of specification documents, working knowledge of 3D modeling and estimating software such as Bluebeam. Skilled in using scales and scientific calculators, mechanical aptitude for understanding construction methods. - Mathematical
Skills:
Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations

- Minimum of 2-year degree in Engineering, Technology or similar field required
- Minimum of 5 years of related estimating experience required
- Construction experience required. Building façade experience preferred.

The hourly range for this role is $48.00- $57.70/hour.
