The Customer Service Representative plays a critical role as the primary point of contact for our clients. This position is responsible for delivering professional, timely, and accurate support by responding to customer inquiries, processing orders, and managing documentation related to shipments and services. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, attention to detail, and prior experience with the Automated Manifest System (AMS).
You will work closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of service quality while supporting daily operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone and email, responding in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide accurate information regarding services, shipments, and order status.
- Create and process customer orders, including booking shipments.
- Assist with daily quoting activities.
- Upload Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and manage exceptions, including damage claims, within internal systems.
- Enter detailed notes, update exception reports, and maintain accurate records.
- File, scan, and organize documentation; print labels as needed.
- Collaborate closely with dispatch and other internal teams to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Follow all company SOPs, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional administrative or operational tasks as assigned.
- Previous experience with AMS (Automated Manifest System) is required
. - General knowledge of U.S. Customs processes, including AMS and CBP Form 3461.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prior experience in customer service within logistics, transportation, or supply chain environments.
- Experience working closely with dispatch or operations teams.
- Professional office or operations-based environment.
